Is the ball interchangeable? i.e. can I place a 2inch ball?

Yes, you can use a 2 inch hitch ball with the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BLU54TR.

There isn't a 2 inch hitch ball with the max 15,000 lb capacity though as 2 inch balls don't have the same rating as 2-5/16 inch balls. The max 2 inch hitch ball rating that will work with this SwayPro is the 12,000 lb 2" Hitch Ball # 40038.
