I have a 2006 gmc sierra 1500 6.5ft bed, I am interested In pulling a gooseneck feathelite 2 horse. It looks like this curt product with the 5th wheel rails would be perfect. What would I need? Tks

In order to use the Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # 16055 on your 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 short bed you'll also need to install the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16418-204.

This is a great option if you plan on towing both 5th wheel and gooseneck trailers (or if you want to at least keep your options open). If you only plan on towing that gooseneck trailer though then I recommend going with the Curt Double Lock, Flip and Store Underbed Gooseneck Hitch # C60712 instead. This keeps your truck bed clean when you aren't towing the gooseneck trailer (since you can flip the hitch ball upside down), and it also keeps you from having to keep track of that adapter plate.
