I do have a potential solution for you but the etrailer spare tire carrier # e98ZR is not made to fit 8 lug wheels.

Roadmaster makes a great hitch mounted carrier # RM-195225 that will work nicely with an 8 x 170 mm wheel. This will work with 16" to 24-1/2" wheels and is compatible with all wheel bolt patterns. This is the only carrier we have that will work with a larger wheel like you have. I know the Roadmaster carrier is a good bit more expensive than other carriers, but you really do get what you pay for. It can hold up to 400 lbs, and it comes with a threaded anti-rattle hitch pin. It also has a 2" receiver opening built in, so you can use the carrier while towing if that need arises. I have included a link to our video for this carrier if you want to take a look.
