Can RV Cabinet Door Struts # 37270555 Install On 6 inch Tall RV Cabinet

Question:

I am looking into purchasing the spring strut for my cabinets in my RV. The cabinet door measures 22” L to R, 6in T to B, and about 1” thick. What is the smallest T to B height it could be used on? I know the spring closes to 5 1/2. But it gets harder to close when it gets down to the 5 1/2. So do you think it will work?

Yes, the RV Cabinet Door Struts # 37270555 that you referenced can be used on vertical cabinets that are only 6 inches tall. It would just be a matter of placing where to mount the strut for it to make sense. You might have to mount on back wall of the cabinet or on the floor of the cabinet.
