Hello, I have a 2018 Tam 3500 megacab short bed with the puck system. Just bought a 2023 fifth wheel. What are my options besides the bnw companion slider?

The best option for your 2018 Ram 3500 is the B&W Companion # BWRVK3670. If you really don't want this hitch the next best option would be the Demco Autoslide # DM69GV. These are also the only two options that will directly fit the puck system on your truck.

A 5th wheel hitch like the Curt A20 # C16541 requires the use of adapter rails # C29BR to fit. A hitch like this may come at a lower price point, but when you add the additional cost of the rails it negates that. You are also going to sacrifice quality.

The quality and features of the B&W are hard to beat. Using this hitch will give you a smoother, quieter, and overall better towing experience with your new 5th wheel. It features 1" thick dual jaws for a solid connection on the king pin, polyurethane bushings, and a non-binding latch handle. The cam-action latch handle is great because it allows for a simple release of the jaws, even on unlevel terrain.
