Is Blue Wire of ETBC7 Used With Curt Echo Brake Controller

Question:

Your directions for connecting a 7-way adapter to a 4-way says the blue wire should be connected to the blue wire on the brake controller, but Im using the Curt Echo bluetooth brake controller that plugs directly into the 7-way, so what should I do with the blue wire?

Thank you for your purchase from etrailer of the Curt Echo # C51180 and I believe you are referencing the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This is the wrong kit for this brake controller due to not having to use the brake wire, but if you are you can just disregard the brake wire that it comes with because it simply isn't needed.

The correct kit for this brake controller is the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L.

This comes with just the power wire and not the unnecessary brake wire since the Echo doesn't use it.
