Question:
curious about a couple things. I saw the answer to this question, and then also saw a similar question regarding a sidewinder. What is the difference between the two setups? They both seem like solutions to the 57inch Titan short bed. Also looking for additional information on the rotating pin box mentioned in the Titan reply. I am just getting into this game, and currently looking at a 2011 Forest River Rockwood 8265WS. Thank you

Personally I feel like the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550040 is the best option for your 2021 Nissan Titan towing a 2011 Forest River Rockwood 8265WS. The Autoslide will move back up to 22-1/2" when you turn to give you the clearance you need to not contact your truck and trailer when making full jackknife turns. The main reason I prefer this hitch is you can easily move it from truck to truck and it will work directly with most 5th wheel trailers up to 13,000lbs having a standard pin box.
With a Sidewinder # RP77FR style pin box it is bolted to the trailer and any other trailer you pull will need to have this style pin box. There are a few different Sidewinder pin boxes due to different trailers having different pin box bolt patterns. You will need to verify your bolt pattern and if you trade in your trailer down the road you may need to purchase a whole new pin box due to having a different bolt pattern.
To mount the Demco Autoslide # DM8550040 in your 2021 Nissan Titan you will need the Above Bed Rail Kit # DM8552033-71.
