Question:

I just bought a Grand Design Solitude and heard gooseneck hitches can void the frame warranty . I asked Grand Design about Andersen Ultimate gooseneck and was told to talk to Lippert since they make and warranty this frame. Lippert said yes since it mounts to kingpin if frame is damaged no warranty. I am leaning towards the Curt CrossWing Lightweight 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - 20K. I would think it should be ok since Lippert owns Curt. Can you please fill me in on warranty problems with either of this hitches?

The Curt Crosswing part # C86JR does not void any warranties on trailer frames as it's a fifth wheel hitch and not a gooseneck adapter. It's also lighterweight which helps make it an easier choice then most fifth wheel hitches.

If you were asking about the adapter version of the Crosswing part # C32DR it also does not void the warranty as it is an adapter on the truck side and not the trailer.
