Question:

I think you will have the hardware I need to mount my awning to some Yakima aero bars without the need to drill through them. Really hoping to avoid that. My awning has the usual rails on the back, but the attachment points on the crossbars are the issue. I think the replacement clamps are needed 2 of those, part 8880737. Can you offer some advice on what else Ill need? Many thanks

I am not sure what awning you have, but most do not require you to drill through crossbars. Most attach using t-slot kits or clamps.

The Replacement Clamp Assembly for Yakima SlimShady Roll-Out Awning # 8880737 for instance fits SlimShady awnings like the # Y56VR. These awnings fit round, square, aero, elliptical, and most factory crossbars.

If you have a SlimShady awning, then these would be the correct replacement part. If you have an alternate awning, these would not fit and would require fabrication on your part.

If you can let me know what awning you have or provide some pictures, I may be able to help you find something more compatible.
