Question:

I have an Amerimax screen door on my TT. I would like to know if there is a product that will replace the 12x12 slide panel and latch if needed with something that can open the screen door on both sides. At the moment kids forget to slide it back closed and I think it’s just annoying design.

The Replacement Screen Door Latch for Right Swinging RV Entry Doors # LC27UD you were looking at could be installed in place of your current latch, but would require modification to both the screen door and door threshold to line up with the plunger. It doesn't come with mounting screws so you would need to get some from your local hardware store as well. Unfortunately we don't currently offer the correct slide to fit with this style latch so you'd need to reach out to Lippert to get the correct one.

If you don't want to do all the modification to get the new latch to fit but still needed a new latch then for an Amerimax RV screen door you'd need the Door Latch for Amerimax RV Screen Doors - Right Hand # 37210765 or the Left Hand # 37210775 for the door latch, depending on which way your door opens.

For the screen door slide the only 12" x 12" option we currently offer is the Lippert Motor Home Entry Screen Door Bubble Slider Panel # LC234101 and is approximately 13/16" deep. You'll want to doublecheck the thickness of your stop handle to ensure is deep enough to cover this measurement so that you don't end up with a gap.
