Question:

I am looking for a hitch mounted spare tire carrier which still enables you to flat tow a vehicle and saw the Roadmaster models and wanted to ask what’s the difference between Roadmaster item #195225 and item# 195125 ? I would be carrying a spare for a motor home with dual rear wheels style 16 inch rim type rim . Thanks for your help .

The main difference between the Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier item # RM-195125 and item # RM-195225 is the size of tire and increased capacity for flat towing. Item # RM-195125 tops out at 6,000 lbs and is limited to a 16-1/2" tire and item # RM-195225 goes all the way up to 10,000 lbs and is rated for 16" - 24-1/2" wheels, including duallys, that have any lug pattern.

For your 16" dually wheel you will need the Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier item # RM-195225.
