will an auto slider hitch slide back when backing uphill

The Demco Autoslide # DM8550034 slides back via a gear, so that as you turn the hitch head moves back giving you more cab to trailer clearance when turning.
This feature will work whether you're backing up a hill or turning going forward as the gear does not know the difference.
