Question:
when trying to pull away hitch keeps closeing looks like opposite side from release handle does not open up enough

Uncoupling your 2015 Ford F-250 from the Demco Hijacker # DM8550034 can be a tad tricky. You need to essentially be in a straight line and also level in order to uncouple. Otherwise you won't be able to fully release from the hitch and will run into the problem you're having.
