Question:
my inner and outer bearings are the same # L 44649 R. Is this possible? 5 x 4 1/2

It sounds like you're looking for the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2K Axles part # AKIHUB-545-2-LF-2K which has a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and uses two L44649 bearings. This is designed for a 2,000/2,200 lb axle which if this is your bearing combo, is what you have.
