Question:
My application is flat towing a 2DR 2008 Wrangler JK behind a pick up truck using an 8inch high low Roadmaster receiver and a Blue Ox towbar all rated Class IV. We want to stay with Class IV equipment because the jeep is modified and heavier than OEM and too close to the maximum of Class III. Would the RM-061 work with a Class IV set up? If not, what is the anti rattle solution for Class IV flat towing? Thank you.

Expert Reply:
The Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 would work great for your application as long as your Class IV hitch and the high low adapter are both 2 inch hitches. The Roadmaster 8 inch high low receiver that we currently have # RM-048-8 is a 2 inch receiver.
For your application you might want to consider using 2 of the Roadmaster Quiet Hitches, one for the receiver at you truck and one for the receiver on the adapter.
For your reference I have also included a link to a helpful article that details many of the other components that are required for flat towing.
