Is There A Bike Rack Available To Accommodate A Swinging Rear Hatch Door Of A 2020 Lexus GX 460

Hi, I need a 80 lb bike rack that works with a Lexus GX 460. The hatch back on a GX swings like a regular door. So a tilt rack doesn’t have enough clearance. Any options available? Thanks,

We do offer the Yakima Exo system # Y92VR which can swing sway to provide clearance for your swinging rear door, but it unfortunately only has a 50lb per bike capacity. With that heavy of a bike you'd pretty much be limited to just the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY84FR and would have to remove the rack every time you needed to open the rear door.
We routinely meet with bike rack manufacturers and with the rise in popularity for e-bikes they're slowly increasing the capacities of their racks or coming up with new ones to fit the demand so while there isn't a great solution yet, there eventually will be.
