Leave your trailer or shop battery plugged in during storage without guessing what the charger's doing. This 12V AC charger uses built-in Bluetooth for live charge data, so you can check real charging status instead of reading LED patterns.
A lot of chargers leave you staring at LEDs and guessing if the battery is charging, floating, or just sitting there. Built-in Bluetooth fixes that with wireless monitoring, configuration, and firmware updates through the Victron app, and charge history logging stores lifetime usage data plus detailed statistics for the most recent 40 charge cycles. You can check voltage, current, charge stage, and recent history instead of guessing from light patterns, so it's easier to confirm the charger is working and spot a battery that isn't taking a charge.
Generic chargers can miss the mark when the battery chemistry changes or the battery spends part of its life in storage and part of it under heavier use. This charger uses an adaptive 6-stage charge algorithm with microprocessor controlled battery management, and it gives you adjustable absorption, float, storage, recondition, and temperature compensation settings. It supports lead acid and Li ion batteries with a dedicated Li ion bulk, absorption, and float algorithm, so you can tune the charge behavior to the battery instead of forcing everything through one fixed profile.
Leaving a charger connected for weeks can be hard on a battery if it never backs off from full charging voltage. The built-in storage mode lowers float voltage during inactivity and periodically restores absorption voltage, which reduces battery maintenance and aging during extended connection. For parked trailers, RV batteries in storage, or batteries sitting on the bench between uses, it stays active without running the battery through the same full-charge behavior all the time.
Some chargers refuse to start when a battery is heavily discharged, which leaves you wondering if the charger failed or the battery is done. This unit initiates charging from zero volts, and it reconnects to Li ion batteries with internal disconnect protection. When a battery has fallen well below normal starting voltage or a lithium battery has shut itself down, the charger can begin recovery instead of sitting there with no output.
Higher output matters when you need more than a light maintainer, but heat and noise still matter when the charger stays connected in a garage or battery compartment. This unit charges at 30 amps in normal mode, drops to 15 amps in NIGHT or LOW mode, operates with up to 94 percent efficiency, and uses overtemperature protection that automatically reduces output current as temperatures increase while continuing operation. You get stronger charging when the battery needs it, then quieter and lower-output operation when full output isn't necessary.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Victron Blue Smart 12-volt battery charger with Bluetooth. Now, this is a high-quality smart charger for your 12-volt batteries that's designed to be efficient, safe, and easy to use. This is going to plug into a standard 120-volt household outlet. So this is going to be able to charge a single 12-volt battery at up to 30 amps, which is going to make this a good fit for things like RVs, boats, off-grid setups, or shop battery maintenance. So this is going to be powerful enough to charge reasonably quickly, but still smart enough to avoid damaging your battery.
Now, one of the standout features is Bluetooth, and you're not going to need any extra accessories, you can connect to it with the VictronConnect app on your smartphone. And with that free app, you're going to be able to see the charging status in real time. You're going to be able to change charging settings, and then you're going to be able to match the charger to different battery types as well. So, this works with lead acid batteries, and so like flooded and AGM and GEL, and also lithium batteries. So that's going to be a big plus if you plan to upgrade your battery later.
And this charger uses an adaptive multi-stage charging process, meaning it's going to automatically adjust how it charges based on your battery's condition. That's going to help extend your battery life. It's going to prevent overcharging once the battery is full. And then when that battery is full, it's going to switch into a safe maintenance mode instead of continuing to push power to your battery. Now, this is constructed of aluminum here.
The casing is aluminum. And this does have an IP22 rating, meaning that this is meant for indoor or protected environments. Say, your garage, your RV compartment, or boat cabin, not for direct exposure to rain or heavy moisture. Let me put a ruler up to this just to kind of give you an idea of its size. So looking at the overall height, we're sitting pretty close to 10 inches tall.
Looking at the width, right about 4-5/16 inches wide. And the depth, about 2-5/8 inches. So it's going to be very easy to use. I think it's going to hold up really well for you. And so, if you're looking for a reliable, smart, Bluetooth-enabled, 12-volt charger from a top-tier brand, such as Victron, and you're charging one battery at a time, this is really going to be a great option for you to consider. If you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this or anything else that we have here at etrailer, don't hesitate to reach out.
