Question:
I have an 07 ltz silverado. Hopkins agility brake controller is correctly connected per the manufacturer. But its does not work. It flashes 90 and fades to nothing. Fuse is not blown. Any ideas?

It sounds like there is an issue with the inertia sensor on your Hopkins Agility Trailer Brake Controller 47295. With this being a proportional controller it uses the internal inertia sensor to adjust the amount of braking force sent to the trailer. If this sensor inside the controller is damaged or stuck, the controller would see an input from the brake switch through the red wire but without the inertia sensor working it would not brake the trailer. This is similar to how the controller works at low speeds as well since instead of going to a fixed amount of inertia at lower speeds it bounces around more and this tells the controller to not apply braking to the trailer at such a low speed. You can try using your truck and the controller on another trailer with electric brakes to verify the trailer is not the issue but you will either have to see if your controller is covered under warranty or have it replaced.
