Do you need to lubricate this mechanism for maintenance. If so, how is that done.

Nope, there is no need to lubricate the Lippert Venture Actuator and High Speed Slide-Out Motor # LC168956 for maintenance.
According to Lippert you cannot lubricate the internal shaft of the actuator as it is a sealed unit.
