Question:
Is there a product that I can use to covert a 2 coupler on the trailer to have the freedom of movement that a lock and roll hitch provides. I am looking at overlanding with a tear or small trailer with rooftop tent.

We do have a few options for you, but they do all require you to modify your trailer in a way so just keep that in mind.
To retain a 2" trailer coupler you need the Ark Articulating Off-Road Coupler # AR44FR. This has the standard 2" hitch ball connection but it is attached to an articulating head so it can handle off-road situations.
To install this onto your trailer you need to weld on a 2" receiver like the Curt # E-9, and I recommend using the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # 63232 to not only help keep the Ark coupler secured to your trailer, but also to help keep the shank from moving around too much in the weld on coupler.
Aside from this you'll need to change to a full on Lock N Roll coupler which is a great option but it does mean that whatever tow vehicle you're using needs to have the specialized ball mount for this connection. I recommend going with the Ark so you don't have to think about the Lock N Roll ball mount side of things if you plan on using a different tow vehicle.
