Video Transcript for What to Know About the Combo Bar 6" with 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver

Today we're going to review Part Number E-9. This is the Curt 6" combo bar with the 2" trailer hitch receiver. This does have a 2" x 2" trailer hitch receiver opening. You can see right there. This is a hitch fabrication part, it is designed to be welded on to your vehicle or trailer, and allow you to install a 2" ball mount into there. It does have an outer dimension; the outer dimension on it is 2 1/2", and the forged collar on the very opening area right here, the width on that would actually measure 3".

Total overall length from the very front to the very back is going to be right at 6". It is sized and punched to fit all common weight distribution hitch ball mounts, or utility ball mounts. Has a 5/8" diameter pin hole, and it is a raw finish. The reason they do that, it's better for welding, because there's less prep work involved. That should do it for the review on Part Number E-9. This is the Curt 6" combo bar with the 2" trailer hitch receiver. .

  • Is There A Front Hitch For A 2008 Toyota RAV4
Hello Jack. I was not able to find any manufacturers anywhere that make a custom fitted front hitch for the 2008 Toyota RAV4. The only option would be to use a universal weld-on hitch like part # E-9 and take it to a local fabrication shop to have them weld something up for you.

  • Availability Of Trailer Hitch For 2006 BMW 325I
Hey Pablo, thanks for reaching out. If you take a look at the list below you will see the list of vehicles the Curt Multi-Fit Hitch # C11033 can be made to fit. As you can see there are no BMW models on this list so I cannot confirm fitment on your 2006 BMW 325I. You can try comparing the measurements below to your frame to check fitment. Sadly, there is no custom fit hitch made for the 2006 325I, so if you need a hitch your best option will be to take a universal 2" receiver like part...

  • Availability Of Custom Fit Trailer Hitch For 2019 Lexus RX 450h L
Hello Josh, thanks for reaching out. Sadly, there are not any custom fit hitch option for the 2019 Lexus RX 450h L. In order to put a hitch on your Lexus you would need to have a shop fabricate the Curt Weld-On # E-9 receiver to fit your vehicle. We do offer a wiring harness that can be used on your vehicle, the Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT.

  • What are the Square Tubing Dimensions of the Curt Combo Bar # E-9
I went out into our warehouse and measured a Curt Combo Bar # E-9 and found that it is 2-1/2 inches by 2-1/2 inches. Check out the video I attached that shows these measurements being taken.

  • Is There a Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 2019 Volvo S60 T5 Inscription?
It appears you will need to have a custom receiver fabricated for your 2019 Volvo S60 T5 Inscription. We have the 1-1/4" # E-911 or 2" # E-9 receiver tube that you can use to have a receiver fabricated. Currently none of our aftermarket manufacturers are producing a receiver for your Volvo. I was able to verify with Curt that their T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56224 will fit your Volvo and give you a 4-way flat connector. This will connect to the tail lights on most small trailers...

  • Front Hitch Recommendation for a 2016 Thor Vegas Motorhome
Hey Nance, thanks for reaching out! There aren't any custom fit options for your 2016 Thor Vegas, but I recommend having a shop look into fabricating something for you on your motorhome, like with the Combo Bar 6" with 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-9. If you don't already have a bike rack then I recommend checking out the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR because it's a really durable bike rack that can handle up to 80 lb bikes.

  • Availability Of Trailer Hitch For 2025 Kia K4
Hello Jay, thanks for reaching out. Sadly, there is no custom fit trailer hitch for the 2025 Kia K4. True, there is a hitch for the 2024 K5 but we this is a completely different fit, and we cannot advise modifying a hitch to fit. There is no guarantee it would even work, and your warranty would be voided so that is not recommended. There really are not a lot of custom fit parts available for the 2025 K4 yet since it is so new. We do expect more parts to become available down the line....

  • Availability of Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2007 Mercedes ML320 CDI With Air Ride Suspension
Hello Javier; I'm sorry to say none of the custom fit hitches for the 2007 ML320 CDI will fit with the air ride suspension. The only solution is to take the # E-9 to a local fabricator and have them fashion a custom hitch for your vehicle. For wiring, you can use the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter w/ 4-Way Flat # C59496.

  • Brainstorming Sidewind Trailer Jack for 2 Inch Receivers On Cargo Trailer Corners For Stabilization
Interesting. We don't have that specifically, but there are a couple of routes you could go. Most trailers will use the Scissor Stabilizer Jack - 18-3/4" Travel - 2,500 lbs - Qty 1 # TJSC-24 for stability in the corners so you could mount a receiver shank to that and use # TJSC-24-HD as a sidewind crank. It sounds like you were picturing more of a trailer tongue style option, so you could use a jack like the etrailer Square Jack w/ Footplate - Drop Leg - Bolt On - Zinc - Sidewind - 29-1/8"...

  • Replacement 2" Coupler Recommendation for Off-Road Trailer
We do have a few options for you, but they do all require you to modify your trailer in a way so just keep that in mind. To retain a 2" trailer coupler you need the Ark Articulating Off-Road Coupler # AR44FR. This has the standard 2" hitch ball connection but it is attached to an articulating head so it can handle off-road situations. To install this onto your trailer you need to weld on a 2" receiver like the Curt # E-9, and I recommend using the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock...

  • Availability Of Trailer Hitch For 2006 Chevy Aveo Sedan
Hello Shane, thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to say we do not offer a trailer hitch for the 2006 Chevy Aveo sedan. There is one hitch made for the 2006 Aveo, the Curt # C11306, but this will only fit hatchback models and will not fit the Sedan. I think there just aren't enough of these Aveos left on the road for companies to justify producing a hitch. If you must add a hitch, the only option would be to take a universal hitch like part # E-9 to a welder and have them fabricate something...

  • Availability of Trailer Hitch for Vinfast VF8
Hi Eric; we do not carry a hitch for the Vinfast VF8 and as far as I can tell nobody makes one. If there isn't a factory option you can take the # E-9 to a local fabricator and have them fashion a custom hitch for your vehicle.

  • Solution for Mounting Winch in Enclosed Trailer for Pulling Vehicle In
You can mount a winch to a trailer to allow it to pull things up onto the trailer. This is pretty common for car haulers. You could purchase a Hitch Receiver tube and have it welded to the the trailer frame or crossmember near the front like part # E-9. With a piece like this welded to the frame, you could use the Winch Plate # BDW20011 mount to attach your winch. You'll need to pull up a portion of the floor to access where you'll attach it. Maybe locate the anchor point from underneath...

  • Recommended Combo Bar With 2 Inch Receiver Opening To Weld To Horizontal Crossbar
The flanges on part # E17 are spaced 2-3/8 inches apart and designed to be welded to a bar that fits between them. We also have a couple combo bars that may work better for you. The first is part # E-9. This is a 6 inch combo bar that has a 2 inch receiver opening and a collar. The next combo bar we offer is part # E-11. This bar measures 12 inches long and it also has a 2 inch receiver opening and a collar attached. Since you said you are wanting to weld it to a horizontal cross...

  • Winch Recommendation for Pulling Racecar Up Into Trailer
The LT3000 winch, # SW1130220, is a good choice for pulling a 2,350 pound vehicle onto your trailer. With a rolling load (your vehicle) on a 17 degree slope (typical range for a trailer ramp) the winch will have a 7,825 pound rolling load capacity. For trailer mounting these winches are mounted directly to the trailer frame with bolts that go through the mounting plate provided on the winch. If you would like the winch to be removable you could mount it to the SuperWinch Hitch Mounted...

  • Options to Add 2-Inch Receiver Tube to Car Lift for Use with Winch Mount
We have not before had another customer inquire about your specific application but we do have hitch fabrication parts that might work for you. Please see the linked page. Based on the substantial material of your lift a weld-on part like the 12-inch Curt Combo Bar # E-11 or the 6-inch # E-9 might be the most direct way to add the 2-inch receiver you want for your winch mount. I suggest making a call to the manufacturer of the lift system just to make sure they have no issues with welding...

  • Winch Recommendation for Loading Cargo Into a Utility Trailer
For mounting a winch to your trailer, the easiest way is to use a trailer hitch style mount. You would want to weld a hitch tube like the part # E-9 to a portion of the trailer near the front so that you can use a winch mounting plate like part # BDW20011. This option would also allow you to easily remove the winch and keep it out of the weather when not in use. The 3,200 lb winch # F142425 that you referenced should work well for you. It's hard to say exactly what capacity you would...

  • Can a Trailer Hitch Mount to the Front of Ford F-350 Bed to Tie Down a Power Washer
What you could do is use the Curt combo bar # E-9. Mounting something to the actual bed is not the best idea because the walls could be too weak or flimsy to hold or stabilize a heavy load. I wouldn't take the risk since the power washer is likely pretty heavy and if the straps failed, it could crush the truck bed where the ball mount is attached. You may need to fabricate something that is integrated into the bed supports or truck frame. Once you secure the Curt combo bar # E-9, you...

  • Combo Bar Hitch Tube Recommendation for Installing Second Hitch Opening at Rear of RV
Sounds like you are wanting to install a second hitch opening on the cross tube of your Winnebago. We offer the combo bar part # E-9 for applications like this. You would have to weld on the hitch opening to your RV and you would have a second hitch tube. We don't have a bolt on application to fit a 2-1/2 by 2-1/2 inch cross tube. You would have to use a RV approved bike rack like what is listed at the attached link.

  • Mounting Superwinch to Dump Trailer
For mounting a winch to a trailer like the Superwinch # SW1455201 one solution is to weld a hitch tube to the trailer like with the part # E-9 so that you could use a winch mounting plate like the # BDW20011 and have a way to easily remove and reinstall the winch as needed.

  • What do I Need to Tow My 2021 Nucamp TAB 320S with My 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon?
From the sound of your question, it sounds like you are trying to figure out what you need in order to attach your 2021 Nucamp TAB 320S to your 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with an off-road coupler. From my research, I discovered that your camper has a gross trailer weight of 2,900 pounds. As long as you have enough gross towing weight capacity on your hitch like the 4,500 pounds of the Draw-Tite Hitch - 2" # DT78MR on your Jeep, you will be safe to tow. For the coupler itself,...

  • Receiver Hitch for Rear of Jayco 22 Foot Camper
There are a few solutions for adding a receiver to the rear of your camper. You will first need to contact Jayco to determine the capacity of your bumper. If the bumper is steel, and has adequate capacity, you could have the 6 inch combo bar you referenced welded in place. However, this piece is sold as a fabrication part only and it would be up to you or the welder to do the engineering work to determine if the receiver will have the necessary capacity. Another option would be to use...

  • Hitch Tube Recommendation for Mounting Clevis Hitch for 2 inch Hitch
Sounds like you possibly are looking for a hitch opening to attach to something for mounting a clevis in that is designed for a 2 inch hitch. For that we have the Combo Bar # E-9 which happens to be 6 inches in length. The pin hole though is much smaller at 5/8 inch.

  • What Vehicles Will The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver C31077 Fit?
Hello Percy, thanks for getting in touch. The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31077 will not fit the 2021 Nissan Titan 4x4, because the manufacturers fitment guide specifies that it won't. I know this is not the most helpful answer ever, but according to Curt, the # C31077 hitch will only fit the following vehicles: 2016 - 2021 Nissan NV 1500 2016 - 2021 Nissan NV 2500 2016 - 2021 Nissan NV 3500 2016 - 2021 Nissan Titan XD At this time there is no custom fit front hitch for...
