What is the inside dimensions of the channel mount? I saw the outside dimensions are 3 inches.

The inner channel width of the Lock N Roll Articulating Hitch # 336VS503 that you referenced is 2-7/8 inches on the side that attaches to the articulating mount. The other end is designed to fit into a 3 inch wide channel. The inner width of this would then be 2-1/2 inch.
