I want to put a fifth wheel hitch in my 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 truck. it has the 5.5 foot bed..do I have any options?

For truck beds shorter than 6 foot it is possible to tow a fifth wheel trailer but it does get a little more tricky since the shorter beds makes clearance between the truck cab and trailer nose much tighter. Normally for short bed trucks a slider hitch solves this problem but a standard slider hitch only goes about half as far as it needs to so the best solution is the Demco Hijacker Autoslide part # DM8550040 which slides 22-1/2 inches.
This hitch is designed to fit standard above bed fifth wheel rails so for a rail kit that fits this hitch and your 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 you'd want the Reese # RP56015-53 and you'd be set.
