Options For Using Ultimate Trailer Jack # 322-RDJ-2K In Soft Sand To Prevent Sinking

Updated 03/22/2023 | Published 03/21/2023

Question:

Is there a larger jack foot that be pinned onto the bottom of this jack? Id prefer a wide attached foot similar to an RV landing pad if possible due to needing to set the jack down on soft sand or the like. Otherwise well continue to carry a 2 by 8 or a jack pad or similar...

One option is to remove the small foot plate on the Ultimate Trailer Jack # 322-RDJ-2K and install a Foot Pad # LC377962 from a Lippert Ground Control System. This foot pad has a 2-1/16" opening while the jack as a 2" inner tube so there will be just a little play between the 2. I recommend drilling a new hole in the foot pad as it has a larger 1/2" hole for the Lippert jacks. This pad is going to be 9" in diameter providing for a much better base in the sand than the included pad which is about 2"x 4".

If you are in very loose sand the Jack Pad # A10-0924 is 13-7/8" long by 11-7/8" wide providing for more surface area to resist sinking into the sand.
