Will the Yakima SlimShady Awning Work with Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Roof Rack Crossbars

I have a Yakima Slim Shady awning that Id like to mount to my Rhino Rack Heavy Duty crossbars. During initial fit up it doesnt look like the Slim Shady mount brackets can mount to the Rhino Rack HD crossbars. Are there any adapter kits or solutions available?

I do have an option for you but the Yakima SlimShady Awnings like part # Y36VR won't fit the Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Roof Rack Crossbars and there is not an adapter to make this work. The Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Roof Rack Crossbars aren't like standard crossbars, they are much thicker as they are designed more for work type applications like hauling ladders or lumber.
The easiest solution would be to switch crossbars to the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars like part # RRVA150B-2 which will work great with the Yakima SlimShady Awnings. If you need a different size, check out our list below. That said, you could also purchase different brackets like the Mounting Brackets for Yakima SlimShady Awnings part # Y84AR and try to rig something up on your own, just don't ask me how as we don't have any confirmed methods.
