Can the Crossbars on a Rhino-Rack Roof Rack Be Cut Down if a Shorter Size is Needed

Question:

Can I cut the cross bars? I was going to order the 65inch ones to make sure they are long enough as long as I can cut them down to 59inch if that is what I prefer.

No, you cannot cut the crossbars on the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for Thule and Yakima Tracks # Y01-140B-NT down to size. The channels on the bottom under the crossbar do not run all the way down the bar, so cutting them could impact the mounting points. It would also void your warranty.

If you need 59" crossbars, you would want to get the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for Factory Tracks # Y02-490B-NT (Aero bars) or the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for Thule and Yakima Tracks # Y01-120B-NT (54" HD bars).
