Question:

I currently have a 4-Flat on my 2020 Ford Escape. I need to upgrade to a 7-Pin for auxiliary power powering auxiliary lights on the trailer and reverse lights no need for brake controller. What is my best option? Thanks!

I recommend installing the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L on your 2020 Ford Escape. This will allow you to connect directly to your 4-way and includes the wiring, connectors and circuit breaker to power the charge line for the 7-way. It has a butt connector which you can run a wire to splice into your reverse circuit providing power when your reverse lights are used. With the reverse lights being in the rear hatch you will need to access the wiring in the roof where it goes into the rear hatch door. A Test Light # PTW2993 will allow you to verify you have found the correct circuit.
