Recommended Trailer Towing Parts for a 2023 Hyundai Palisade

Question:

Hi there! I have a 2023 Hyundai Palisade and am looking to purchase a whole package to install a hitch. I need everything included a long with the hitch ball. I’m not sure what I’m looking at/researching and am needing assistance. Can you please assist? Thanks so much in advance!

I'm more than happy to help! The standard towing parts include a trailer hitch, wiring, and a ball mount. The parts I recommend for your 2023 Hyundai Palisade include the following:

Curt Wiring Harness - # C59236
Wiring Brackets - # 18144 and # 18140
Ball Mount Kit - See linked options and help article

I like our hitch because it has the matte black finish which is subtle and sleek, the Curt wiring is a standard, the brackets allow you to keep the wiring connector next to your hitch receiver, and then the correct ball mount can vary depending on the trailer. When we install our hitch on a 2023 Palisade we found the coupler height to be 13-3/4" which is what you'll use to hep you pick the correct ball mount.

If you plan on towing a trailer around 2,000 lbs or higher then you also need to upgrade the wiring as well as install a brake controller, and for that I recommend adding these parts (you won't need the 18144 bracket in this case):

Upgraded Wiring - # ETBC7
Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller - # RED44FR
