Question:
on 2021 wrangler instead of running wire to battery can i go to the 12 volt power plug in the cargo area for the trailer wiring

You must run the hot lead to the battery when installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56407 on your 2021 Jeep Wrangler.
