While your Duralast Jump Starter is not something that we carry, it sounds like the internal charger is going bad. Looking online there are quite a few people who have had this issue straight out of the box, or it failed within a few months. I recommend replacing it with a reliable jump starter like the NOCO Boost Plus Jump Starter # 329-GB40.
The NOCO features a lithium-ion battery that provides up to 20 jump starts off a single charge which it can hold for over a year. It also fully charges in as little as 3 hours. The # 329-GB40 has a compact design by comparison so you won't have that massive jump starter to haul around. In addition to jump starting, it also has a USB charging port for other devices and an LED work light.
I have attached a review video for your reference.
