Hi I am planning on getting a f350 dully reg cab if I did get it I would like to put a fifth wheel hitch on it that can be removed when its not in use so I can still have use of the bed. so my question is can the hitch be removed from the bed when its not in use and the mounting brackets stay in the bed

You could go with an underbed rail style fifth wheel hitch so that you can use your truck bed whenever you want and not have large rails in the way. For that you'd want the Companion hitch part # BWRVK3500 and then for the custom rail kit that fits the 2006 Ford F-350 you'd want the part # BWGNRK1108 and you'd be set. Basically this is a gooseneck hitch system that doubles as a fifth wheel rail kit that works only with the Companion hitch.
