The B and W Companion hitch part # BWRVK3500 is a fixed hitch and not normally the first pick for a short bed truck due to less clearance when making turns...but a 6-1/2 foot bed IS a longer "short bed" so if the trailer has a tapered nose it would work fine without clearance issues.

Most fifth wheel campers are now being made with a tapered nose to allow for short bed clearance without a slider hitch so there is a really good chance this would work for you.
