Question:

I have a 2010 GMC Sierra 2500HD crew cab 6 1/2 bed with turnover already installed. We are purchasing a 2020 KZ Durango half ton fifth wheel model 286bhd. Unit has what they call high clearance front cap. Was wondering if this hitch would work with its adjustability or if the slider base is absolutely necessary. Thanks for any help.

The 2020 KZ Durango Half Ton 286BHD does have a tapered nose but I don't think that would be enough to make full degree turns in your 2010 GMC Sierra 2500HD if that is what you are looking to do so I do recommend the B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # BWRVK3400 over the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # BWRVK3500.

That said, I recommend you reach out to KZ to see what they recommend as well.
