Hello! We are looking to fit our 2013 AWD Toyota Sienna with a trailer hitch to pull a UHaul for our upcoming move. We are looking for the safest most affordable option. I looked through your options and am hoping you might be able to recommend a product, since we are not very familiar with trailer hitches. Also, could you explain the installation difficulty rating? Is one with 9 out of 10 easier or harder to install than one with a 5 out of 10 rating? Thank you in advance for your advice! Abby

The best hitch for your 2013 Toyota Sienna is going to be the etrailer Trailer Hitch item # e98837. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Toyota with included hardware.

This hitch has a 5 out of 10 as far as difficulty for install with 10 being the most difficult. I have linked the installation instructions below along with a video we made installing this hitch. I highly recommend going over both and seeing if this is something you are capable of taking on yourself.

The etrailer Trailer Hitch item # e98837 is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It is made in the USA and weighs 40 lbs. This hitch has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and a 350 lbs tongue weight limit. This can be increased to 5,000 lbs and 500 lbs when used with a weight distribution system.

Since you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56106 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
