Do Trailer Hubs Have a Left and Right Hand Side

I see the trailer brakes are sold in pairs left and right assembllies. Are the hub/drums also sold in pairs, or are they sold singularly? Thank you! Looking forward to upgrading my trailer with the help of etrailer!

While brake assemblies have a distinct left and right hand side the hub/drums do not and can fit on either side of the trailer like with the part # 84556UC3.

The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly #8-174-5UC3 is a single hub and drum assembly. If you need a pair you will have to order a quantity of 2.

Hey Doug, from my research it looks like you have 3,500 lb axles on your 2016 Coachman Clipper RB16 so for brake assemblies you'd want the part #TRU36FR which is a set of left and right assemblies that are also self adjusting.

The Dexter 8-286 is an obsolete 2800lb 10 x 1-1/2 inch hub that does not have replacement magnets made for anymore due to how long it's been out of production but you can replace the assemblies with the part #K23-472-473-00 as the only option.
