The Tekonsha Activator IV Trailer Brake Controller part 5504 has a limited lifetime warranty. If you have any issues with the controller, please be sure to first reference the troubleshooting section of the instructions which I have attached for you below. We no longer carry this unit but if it needs replaced, I recommend using the Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller part # TK63VR which will be a bit of an upgrade due to the proportional design. The proportional design will provide smoother, faster braking than the timed-delay design of the current controller.
