Video Transcript for Review of Weigh Safe True Tow Weight Distribution Shank 2 Inch Hitch - WS39RR

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Weigh Safe True Tow weight distribution shank for your two-inch trailer hitch receiver. Now, this shank is going to slide into your two-inch hitch receiver and give you the attachment point for your weight distribution system's head assembly. This is designed for use with Weigh Safe True Tow hitches with either an 8500-pound or 12,500-pound gross towing weight. And this does have a maximum tongue weight of 1200 pounds and a maximum gross towing weight of 12,500 pounds. And in this orientation, this is going to give you a maximum drop of about six inches.

When you flip this over, you're gonna get a maximum rise of about seven inches, and you have an incremental height adjustment of one and a quarter inches. And you have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight adjustment holes. And just to give you some overall measurements in case you we inchesre interested, let me see if I can line this up here for you. The overall length from end to end, pretty close to 11 inches. The overall height, again, that's going to be pretty close to 11 inches.

And then the measurement from the center of our hitch pin hole to the center of the adjustment holes, I'm just doing this on the fly here, we're sitting on center pretty close to seven inches. And then measuring from the center of our hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, I'm gonna say right at about three inches. The pin hole diameter is five-eighths of an inch. And this is constructed of high strength steel so this is gonna be very sturdy and durable. It's gonna hold up really well for you.

It's got a great finish on it as well, so I think the finish is gonna hold up really well. If you do pick this up, we'd love to hear back from you regarding how this is working out for you. You can share your experiences with us by dropping a comment or leaving a review on this product page. If you haven't have any other additional questions, don't hesitate to reach back out to us. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

  • Will Weigh Safe Weight Distribution System Help with Sway Over 50 mph
Hey Roy, as long as the adjustable height channel hitch is rated for use with a weight distribution system the Weigh Safe WD system part # WS99MR would work just fine. I don't have a way to check what you have but assuming it's really heavy duty I would assume its fine. This could also be used with you Sierra that has a 2 inch hitch as well but you would need to swap out the shank like with the # WS39RR. Now you said the trailer is fine till it's loaded and then it sways bad over 50 mph....
