Recommended Longest Load Extender For Hauling Kayaks In A Short Bed Truck

Question:

what is the longest bed extender you offer or is available in the market? I have an inflatable tandem kayak and a very short bed so Im looking for maximum extension length....thanks

The longest option is going to be the Malone Axis Truck Bed and Roof Load Extender for 2" Hitches # MPG907, which has a 53" length from the hitch pin hole to the furthest point on the extender. This extender comes with a 375lb load capacity but you'll still want to verify the tongue weight capacity of your truck's hitch.

Since you're wanting maximum length I recommend also picking up the Erickson Mesh Safety Flag w/ Bungee Cord # EM05308 as there typically are local or state laws about placing some sort of signal flag for items extending a specific range past the bed of the truck.

Another item you might be interested in is the optional roller # MAL52VR, which can make loading and unloading your cargo easier.
