To add a 4-way wiring harness for your 2023 Kia Soul, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C89KR. This custom fit wiring harness plugs into your Soul's factory wiring harness behind your rear tail lights.

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C89KR can be used with both LED or incandescent bulbs. This harness uses plug in connectors that eliminate any need to cut or splice wires.

I have attached a picture below, along with an installation video, to show you where to find the connectors.

To attach this harness to your hitch to protect it from being damaged, I recommend the Tow Ready Mounting Bracket item # 18144.

Referencing the response above. I am purchasing a wireless trailer light kit that uses a transponder that plugs into a 7 pin. Am I able to use the information above and use an adapter?

@UncleB Maybe? What specific part are you using? You may need to add a fully functional 7-way connector like item # ETBC7.

@JerredH Thank you. I would rather use that than the adapter anyways, I'd rather go from 7 and adapt down to 4 than 4 up to 7. May I please have the link to that part?

@UncleB You're welcome and of course. To add a 7-way connector you'll need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller item # ETBC7. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your vehicle with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector and plugs directly into it. You will then connect the blue wire to the blue wire on the brake controller or cap it off if you don't have a brake controller, connect the black wire to the positive post on your 's battery, the white wire to a suitable ground, and the yellow wire to the accessory circuit.
