Question:
What is the current draw for the jack? I need to know this value to determine the wire gauge. What is the lift rate/time? I have a 7000 lb capacity flat bed trailer. The empty tongue weight is 350# with a max tongue weight of 800#.

The current draw for the Electric Jack w/ Footplate item # EJ-3520-WBX varies depending on the weight load. The jack will also use less power to lower than to lift the trailer. Under maximum load the power required to lift will be approximately 30-amps. It takes about 5 seconds to go up an inch on a 3,500 lbs trailer we had in the shop.
If the battery is close to the jack and mounted on the tongue of your trailer you will want to use 12 Gauge Black Primary Wire item # 12-1-1. This is sold by the foot.
