Question:
Would it hurt anything if I used the 17501 trutrack hitch instead of the 17500 trutrack hitch for a 7000 lb camper. I am thinking of the heavier hitch in case I want to upgrade my camper at a future date. Thank you My truck is an 2001 Chevy 2500

The best Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System for a 7,000 lb trailer is part # C17500 which is rated for 8,000 lb - 10,000 lb trailers. The trailer once loaded should be right in the middle of the system or just slightly below which will lead to the best performance. I don't recommend going with a higher rated system as it would be somewhat ineffective. That said, if you want to upgrade trailers down the road you would just need to get heavier spring bars, the Replacement Trunnion Spring Bar for Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System - 15,000 lbs part # C17537 (2).
