Can a Bristol Waste Valve Be Used in Place of a Valterra Waste Valve?

3” rv waste slide valves Valterra and Bristol, will their slide seals interchange without problems?

Yes, Bristol is a manufacture not a specific type of fitting. As long as the opening diameter and fitting type is the same then you can use one with the other.
The Valterra Waste Valve item # T58 you were looking at is a straight pull manual valve that uses 3" diameter bayonet hook fittings. I have linked a review video below.
