Features to know about

Built for Heavy Loads and Highway Use: 16-Ply Radial Strength with 4,806-lb Capacity

This tire-and-wheel combo is made for serious hauling. The 215/75R17.5 radial tire carries a heavy-duty Load Range H rating with a 16-ply construction and a maximum load of 4,806 lbs at 125 psi. It’s designed for highway use with a 75-mph (speed rating L) limit, so you can roll confidently on long trips knowing it’s built to stay cool and stable under pressure.

Fight Corrosion and Extend Wheel Life: 3-Step Zinc, E-Coat, and Powder Finish

Rust and road grime don’t stand a chance here. The steel modular wheel goes through a zinc phosphate bath, an e-coat primer base, and a baked-on DuPont black powder coat on both sides. That triple layer of protection delivers lasting corrosion resistance and keeps the wheel looking sharp through years of use in wet or humid conditions.

Confidence in Every Mile: All-Steel Belts and Premium Rubber Compound

This radial design uses all-steel belts for extra durability and even tread wear mile after mile. A computer-generated tread pattern and premium rubber compound work together for strong traction on wet or dry pavement, while wide shoulders help spread the load evenly across the contact patch. It’s engineered to handle highway miles smoothly without uneven wear or wandering.

Sturdy Modular Design with Hub-Piloted Fit: +0.5" Offset and 8 on 6-1/2 Bolt Pattern

The 17-1/2" x 6-3/4" modular steel wheel is built solid and meets DOT specifications. It’s hub piloted for precise centering and requires flange nuts (sold separately) for installation. With an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern, +0.5" offset, and a 4.76" pilot diameter, it pairs strength with fitment accuracy so you can mount it up right the first time.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Video Transcript for Review of Triangle Trailer Tires and Wheels - Tire with Wheel - TR34RR

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Triangle 215/75R 17.5 radial tire in a load range H, mounted on this 17 1/2 inch black modular design steel trailer wheel, with an offset and an eight on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire and wheel assembly is designed for use on heavy duty trailers. The wheel itself is a heavy duty wheel. This sturdy steel construction, and as we mentioned, this one has an modular design to it. You can see the eight holes, the large holes that go all the way around the wheel.

That's a modular design. The wheel has a black powder coat finish over an eco primer to give an excellent corrosion resistance. And this is a hub piloted wheel. And by that I mean this pilot hole, the large hole here in the center of the wheel, has a diameter of 4.76 inches. This will center the wheel onto the trailer.

So when you put this up on there, it's gonna center on this large hole. And because of that, your lug holes won't have any bevel to them. So basically because of that, it'll require the use of 5/8 inch by 18 size flange nuts to hold the wheel in place for installation. Those flange nuts we do sell separately. They'll go by part number of 95188.

So when you put this up on there, it'll center on the large hole. The studs will come through, put your flange nuts on there and tighten them down. And this wheel does also have a positive offset. And when we talk about offset, what that is is that's where the mounting surface of the wheel right here, where it mounts up against the trailer. If that mounting surface is right at the center of the wheel, that's zero.

So that's the starting point. And basically if this mounting surface would move, if the wheel's made with the mounting surface more towards the outside, that's positive. If it moves towards the inside, that's negative offset. This wheel here happens to have a 1/2 inch positive, which is moving the center line where it mounts to the outside of the wheel, which in turn will move your tire wheel towards the trailer frame. Now the wheel itself has a diameter of 17 1/2 inches. A width on just the wheel is 6 3/4 inches wide. The wheel does have a bolt pattern of eight on 6 1/2 inches. And if you wanna measure that bolt pattern on this wheel, that's an even number of lugs. Eight of them. It's pretty easy 'cause the lug holes are directly across from each other. So all you have to do is pick any hole. Let's say this one, measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. So on this it'll measure 6 1/2 inches. So that means this is an eight lug, 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern. The wheel has a weight capacity of 6,005 pounds. Just the wheel. And the tire that's mounted on this wheel is a premium multi-use steer all positioned radial tire. It is constructed with all steel belts to enhance durability, extend the tread light. If I turn it this way, you'll be able to see it has wide shoulders on it to promote even wear, better traction. And the casing is an enhanced casing package, helps improve the toughness and retread ability of the tire. Now the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall 215/75R 17.5, R means that it's a radial tire. Section width measures 8.3 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 30.2 inches. And this tire is a load range H, which means it's a 16 ply rated tire. So this tire has a maximum load capacity, 4,805 pounds at 125 PSI. And the last thing I do wanna mention is they do put a speed rating on this tire, and the speed rating will be stamped on the sidewall and it's by a letter designation. And where you'll find it is right after the tire size. You'll see two numbers for the load index, and in the letter L. Speed rating L will mean that this has a 75 mile per hour speed rating. But that should do it for a look at this Triangle 215/75R 17.5 radial tire in a low range H mounted on this 17 1/2 inch black modular design steel trailer wheel.
