Question:

My boat trailer did not come with a bow roller, and as a result its very difficult to use the winch strap to get the boat to sit in the right position on the trailer—it wants to sit much lower than it should. What information do I need to select the right bow roller for my boat and trailer?

The best part about boat trailers is that everything is universal so a lot of the parts you add to them are about preference and have to do with the type of boat you're carrying. I recommend checking out the CE Smith Bow Roller Assembly with Bells for 3" Wide Bracket # CE29334 and pairing that with the CE Smith Bow Roller Bracket for Winch Stands # CE31005PG.

This is a pretty standard size for a bow roller and it comes with hardware to mount to the bracket that, in turn, mounts to your winch stand. I'm attaching a photo showing what this assembly looks like installed as it actually fits around the mounting system for your winch.
