Review of CE Smith Boat Trailer Parts CE26233-34GA

Today we're going to be taking look at the CE Smith heavy duty vertical bunk brackets. These heavy duty brackets let you mount a bunk board on your boat trailer. They're ideal for big bunk boards such as a three by eight or four by eight. They stabilize one end of the board. Additional brackets are required for the opposite end of the board. Additional brackets are sold separately and available on etrailer.com.

You're going to get one 95 degree bracket, has the 95 on the back and you're going to get one 85 degree bracket, has the 85 on the back. The angles are designed for vertical mounting on the angled or V shaped boat trailer frames. It's going to ensure that the alignment of the bunk board mounting holes are where they need to be. It will require two half inch diameter U-bolts for installation. Those would get the brackets mounted to the trailer frames. You can see that we have the two pre-drilled holes in the bottom of each bracket.

Again it's going to require two half inch diameter U-bolts for installation. It's also going to feature the three pre-drilled holes on each bracket that lets you raise or lower the bunk board during the installation. The bunk boards secure vertically on its side between the brackets with a half inch diameter bolt. That's sold separately as well. The unit's constructed of rust and corrosion resistant galvanized steel. Suitable for salt water exposure.

It's made in the USA. The 95 degree bracket, that's this on right here it's going to give us an overall width measurement of about five inches. Overall height measurement that's going to be about seven inches tall. The 85 degree bracket that's going to have the same five inch width but when it comes to the height, that's going to be a little bit closer to six and 3/4 of an inch tall. Now when it comes to the distance between the mount holes, those are all the same. I'll just do it one bracket.

The distance between the trailer mounting holes, that's going to be three and 9/16 of an inch on center. Then the distance between the bunk board mounting holes those are separated on center by about one and 1/16 of an inch to one and 1/8 of an inch right in that area. The distance on center between the two outer holes is going to be pretty close to two and 3/16 of an inch. Then the plate thickness is quarter inch steel. That's going to do it for today's look at the CE Smith heavy duty vertical bunk brackets.
