Question:

I own a 2018 Subaru forester xt with a tire size of 225 55 r18. Im looking for chains to take my car off roading in the snow. From what I noticed your chains say on road only. I also noticed that apparently Im not supposed to use chains at all according to the manual. Do you have a solution for these problems?

The only chains that can safely be used on your 2018 Subaru Forester with 225/55-18 tires are the Konig K-Summit Tire Chains # th02230k45 because the chain fits only on the tread of the tire. These are on-road chains only though so for your application I recommend using snow tires or something of the like that are designed better for off-road use than your standard tires.

We have the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains # TC1142 that fit your tire size and are rated for off-road use but I don't recommend using these because the chain sits on the inner sidewall of your tires so it will make contact with parts on that side of your tire.
