I built a rack for my sons 2022 Tacoma and I used 1 inch tubing for the crossbars, will this work on there or is there an adapter that I need also?

Looks like you did a stellar job with the rack, and since the crossbars are 1 inch square, you will need an adapter for the Rhino-Rack ski carrier. So what you will need are the following:
- Rhino-Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier - Locking - 6 Pairs of Skis or 4 Boards # RR576
- Heavy-Duty Crossbar Adapter Kit # HD-FK1
The reason why is the # RR576 only fits crossbars up to 7/8" tall with its standard hardware, but the adapter kit's longer screws allow it to fit up to 2" tall crossbars.
