To tell which transmission fluid line is the return line that is leaving the factory cooler on your 2013 Chevy Silverado you will first want to start your vehicle cold. Start the vehicle up and put it into drive while applying the brakes and rev the engine for about 10 seconds. Next put the vehicle back in park and turn the engine off. Quickly go and feel both transmission lines. The cooler of the two lines will be your return line and the other one will be for installing The Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting # D13035.
If you need a new transmission cooler I would recommend The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets # D13503. I like this transmission cooler because it has a furnace-blazed aluminum construction which will give it a more efficient cooling then the other coolers we have.
I attached a picture below showing a diagram of the lines used. I also attached an installation video link on the Derale Snap In Radiator Adapter Fitting. If you have any other questions please reach back out to me and I will be able to further assist.
