Will the companion slider hit the tailgate of my 2021 2500 Ram Mega Cab short bed truck.I have a 2022 ,40 ft Forest River Sierra

You should not have any issues with fitment of the B&W Companion Slider 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3400 on your 2021 Ram 2500 short bed. You can verify this as the measurement from the center of the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1320 to the rear edge of the Companion hitch is 19"(see image). Be sure to get a Lube Plate # 16721 for your 5th wheel king pin.
The B&W 5th Wheel Lifting Device # BWRVXA3130 will make lifting the 277lb hitch out of your bed much easier if you have an overhead winch or other method of lifting it from your bed in your garage.
