How can one determine trailer axle rating?

There are a few different ways to determine the weight rating of your trailer axle. I would first recommend looking for the axle tag which can be found on the center of your axle. This is the only way that will give you the exact rating of your trailer axle.
If your axle tag is missing or not readable you can take the GVWR of your trailer and divide it by the number of the axles on your trailer. This will give you a rough estimate on what your rating could be.
The final way to find your trailer axle capacity would be to remove one of your hubs and look for the bearing numbers that are stamped on the face of each bearing. I attached a picture below of The bearing # L44649 that shows where the number would be located.
If you can provide any of the information that I asked for above I would be able to tell you your proper axle capacity.
